Alvaro Antonio Garcia Perez more commonly popularly known by the name of Alvaro Morte is a Spanish actor from Spain. He is famous for his role as El Professor ( Sergio Marquina) in the Spanish television series Money Heist (La Casa De Papel).

Early Life
Alvaro Morte was born on the 23rd of February 1975 at Algeciras, Cadiz, Spain His family later moved to Bujalance, Cordoba. He began his studies in communications engineering, before moving to drama and completing his studies at his Escuela Superior de Arte Dramatico de Cordoba in 1999.
Additionally, he pursued postgraduate studies at Tampere University. University of Tampere before returning to Madrid.
Career
Morte began his acting career by playing minor roles in the Spanish TV series Hospital Central. He was then offered his first role as a lead actor on the TV series Planta 25 from 2007 to 2008 in which he played Ray as driver. Then, in 2014, he was added to the crew of the long-running television show El Secreto de Puente Viejo in the role of Lucas Moliner, a small-town doctor.
Morte’s breakthrough was when he stepped into his role as ” El Profesor” (Sergio Marquina) in the TV show Money Heist. The character he played, a meticulous mastermind of crime earned him the highest praise. The show was hugely popularity and became the most-watched non-English television series.
After Money Heist, Morte was offered his first major role in a feature, Mirage (2018), that was released on Netflix. In the year 2019, he started filming for the series El Embarcadero, where he was Oscar who was a man living his life with two women. The actor also revealed his involvement in the Amazon television show The Wheel of Time, which is a reimagining from the epic Fantasy novels. In the show, He is said to play the role of Logan and filming will begin in December of 2019.
